ADS Director Biographies

Steve Boffoli:
Steve Boffoli serves as President of Autism Directory Service and Co- Founder of Parents Of Autistic Children-Hudson Valley. Steve is the Father of three boys, including one son with Autism. Along with his involvement with ADS for over seven years, Steve has been active in our community through coaching in the Town of Wappingers Little League and Wappingers United Soccer League. He is also Vice-President of WCSD Special Education Parent Advisory Council. A resident of the Hudson Valley for over 25 years, Steve is also a recent graduate of Marist College.
Mary Reedy:
Mary Reedy serves as Vice President of Autism Directory Service and has been a director since 2006. Mary has been working in the field of developmental disAbilities for 15 years. She has worked for Greystone Program, Inc. since 2001 in various services capacities, currently as the Corporate Compliance Officer. Mary's educational background is in psychology and human development. Mary has been a strong advocate for those with disAbilities and their families living in the Hudson Valley. Mary also supports her own family members with disabilities and assists with services and systems.
Susan Boffoli:
Susan Boffoli serves as Vice President of Autism Directory Service and has been a Director since 2008. Susan serves as Chairperson-Fundraising Administration for Parents of Autistic Children-Hudson Valley. She is the proud mother of three beautiful boys, one of which has Autism. This gives her first-hand experience and understanding regarding the challenges faced by individuals and families living with Autism. Susan is part of an extensive network of parents and service providers throughout the Hudson Valley who interact with these special individuals every day. In addition to her personal knowledge about Autism, Susan brings significant business skills to ADS, as she holds a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations and MBA from Cornell University.
Donna Chamberlin
Donna Chamberlin currently serves as Treasurer of Autism Directory Service and is a thirty year resident of the Hudson Valley. She is the proud parent of a twenty-two year old college student and twenty-one year old son with Autism. Donna joined the organization to share the experiences and ongoing challenges of raising a child with Autism. She is involved with event fundraising and educating the community about Autism. Additionally, she is an advocate for school age students and parents new to the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Donna holds a BA in Business from Iona College and an MBA in Marketing from Pace University.
Ellen Devorsetz
Ellen is a former President of Autism Directory Service and has been a Director for over twelve years. Ellen has spent her life helping individuals and families with various disabilities, including many with Autism here in the Hudson Valley. She has valuable experience in dealing with school issues, as well as, the transition to adulthood for those affected by Autism. This includes being a Special Education Advocate for children with Autism.
Beatrice Moffett
Beatrice Moffett is Co-Founder of Parents Of Autistic Children – Hudson Valley and has been a Director of Autism Directory Service since 2004. She is the Grant Committee chairperson and is responsible for the administration of all grants provided to the community. Beatrice has spent many years researching many different aspects of Autism. She has information on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Reading and math programs for elementary school age children, Special Education rights and parent Support groups. Beatrice has worked with Autistic children between the ages of two and eleven in both ABA and Social programs. Beatrice has also spent many hours helping other parents find answers to questions that come with having a child with special needs.
Marge Bright
Marjorie (Marge) Bright is a professional educator who has made it her career to work with children who have the diagnosis of Autism. With a BCABA, she has over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education/Special Education. She is currently working as a Behavior Analyst with pre-school children who are on the spectrum. Her work includes parent and staff training, as well as teaching and developing individualized ABA programs for pre-school children. Marge is also known for her work as the facilitator for a variety of social skills groups designed to promote those skills in school aged children.
Caren Edwards
Caren is President Emeritus of Autism Directory Service, Inc. and has been a Director since 2006. She is a life long resident of the Hudson Valley and she has dedicated her professional life to working for and with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disAbilities. Caren has worked in many capacities which include Early Intervention services, pre- school, as well as youth and adult services. She is also a family member of an individual with Autism. Caren believes in standing up and fighting for a cause greater than herself.
Lisa Slagle
Lisa Slagle has been in the field of Special Education for 27 years. She received a BS in Education from the University of Delaware and continued her education at Manhattanville College where she received a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities. The early part of her career was spent at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Westchester County working as a Developmental Specialist and Program Supervisor for their Early Childhood Program. Following a move to Dutchess County, Lisa began working for Dutchess BOCES where she became interested in the field of Autism. For the past twelve years Lisa has worked in the BOCES PEACCE Program, a program modeled after the TEACCH philosophy. She lives in Fishkill with her husband and two teenage sons.
Kathleen Cornett:
Kathleen Cornett is the mother of three children, Clare, 24 and twin sons James and John. James and John are 22 year old identical twins and are both on the autism spectrum, fortunately with only mild involvement. Kathleen has been helped considerably by POAC-HV, particularly in the POAC-HV grant that funded summer employment program. She has considerable experience in dealing with school issues as well as transition to adulthood issues and would like to share this experience with any who can benefit.
Sue Carr:
Sue Carr is a mother of three children, one of which has Autism. She has been very active in her community, a girl scout leader for 14 years and a parent representative for Wappingers central school district for 7 years. has held the position of Special Education Chairperson for the Parent Teacher Association for the Taconic Region for 3 years. She is currently employed with Dutchess County BOCES as a job coach and works with high school age students with learning disabilities.
